I have had only good experiences here. Shannon is lovely! I met my goal weight but maintenance is tough so I keep going back for motivation. Not cheap but food is really good and taught me portion control.
I walked into the center today after not having been there since September. I wasn't interested in meeting with anyone or getting weighed. I just wanted to pick up two weeks worth of food. When I walked in i was told the program had changed and they needed me to fill out information with questions like "what is motivating you" and "what is your biggest challenge". I was frustrated because all I wanted to do was pick up my food. II was then asked to go to the back and get weighed. Again, I was frustrated because I already mentioned I didn't want to get weighed. I just wanted to pick up food. The person at the front desk explained to me that the program had changed and that they only offer prefixed menus now and that I was only allowed to substitute 3 of the meals if there was something on it I didn't like. I couldn't believe it. I would basically be paying for food that I didn't necessarily like and would have to eat food Choices I didn't like. How could you expect someone to be successful when they are forced to eat food they don't like.! Since when does dieting mean zero flexibility? I was told that people were not losing weight on the program so they were going back to the way they used to be years ago. I have a hard time believing that. I have many friends who have lost on JC and were successful. And if flexibility is such an issue than how come WW is so successful? It's the most flexible plan I know. It's a shame because I was prepared to spend d $250 to $300 worth of food today but instead walked having spent only $150 and I will now not return. I wonder how many more clients they will lose with such a regimented program.
