I had a wonderful experience for my first time here! The instructor Ms.Marlani was wonderful!! She made sure you left from there feeling happy with the results, which I’m happy to say; I sure did!! Thank you so much!! I’ll be back again!
love the skincare program and facials. I hope they keep running email specials, night parties and keep their costs down. It's what makes going to the school worth it. thanks for being a reasonable business in North County us budget minded people can frequent. I have been coming here since my son was born as a moms night out option with our playgroup. He is now 20. (im old) and watched this place update, get new product lines and remodeled. Keep up the updating but keep your prices low.
If I could give this school a zero I would. My mom went to get her hair TRIMMED today 1/30/2019. She must have stated 5 times to the student she wanted a tiny, not noticeable trim. The student, Kayela (not sure on spelling) cut OFF my moms hair to the point where she cant even put her hair up anymore. So over 4-5 inches was cut. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? She was crying and devastated. I am not sure what kind of program is being run here to let someone SO incompetent near scissors. We understand people need to learn but if you cannot do a basic trim yet, then you should not be alone doing hair. This student should find an alternative career choice and the head of the school needs to ensure that students are prepared prior to cutting hair and taking clients. This is ridiculous.
Failing? Possibly. Sure looks like it from here. My last visit was the last time I'm going there. I've been going for nearly 10 years, starting at the Oceanside location. The recipe for failure? 1) Another price increase. 2) A nasty troll of an "instructor" who conveniently had her name badge obscured (all the other instructors had their names clearly visible). She is the primary reason that my mind was made up so quickly. I almost forgot to mention the disgusting toilet condition and the lack of a sanitary way to leave the bathroom... Grotesque! 3) A lower number of available students. I'll miss a few faces but hey, our karma is over. The mismanagement (including the loss of a facility and dwindling student numbers) victimizes the students most of all but it does impact the bottom line as people, such as myself, don't find the hassle worth it. If you're a potential cosmetology student check around, including community colleges, and ask to see their financials.
