Yesterday we went for an exam for my daughter to be fitted for contact lenses. Mark was super patient and helpful with her trying I'm the contacts. He was knowledgeable and kind as this was her first time trying on contacts. Afterwards Hilary looked up what the most affordable options were and answered all of our questions, again knowledgeable and kind. We didn't purchase anything so I can't speak on products but the service was great!
I went in a few weeks ago to get my eyes examined. The entire staff was very nice and helpful. Mr Tony was very down to earth and helped me understand everything about vision and lenses. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for all your vision needs!
The worst company ever! Specifically the La Mesa location… My first experience with them ever and my first order with them ever in January 2020 they physically submitted the wrong supply to my insurance...... they gave me a year supply for my left eye contact and only gave me a six month supply submitted to my insurance for my right eye. But what was physically in the bag was only 3 month supply in the bag for my right eye. Realizing this already weeks into my supply I had to call them and explain… And they put me on hold and said “oh they happen to find my prescription “ I could come by and pick it up ...how that happened I have no idea! ..... it’s already bad enough that you have to speak to a “ call center” when you just want to speak to somebody in the physical location and spending 20 minutes explaining only to be transferred anyways ... Now that I am completely almost out of my right eye contacts because they did not give me a year supply like they were supposed to to begin with ....I called them to get another supply for my right eye....I called the La Mesa location specifically their local number that I was given from the representative at the call center and placed the order with them… They said they would call me within a few days when it was ready for pick up..... 11 days go by and I called for a status again having being forced to talk to the call center because the local number in office refuses to answer their phone calls anymore… And the representative at the call center said that the order was ready for pick up… I complained that no one had called me and I had no idea… He said that he would put in a ticket and request that a manager call me back since because of COVID-19 that people in the store aren’t answering their calls anymore due to limited staff and that they have to request anything that needs to be done for a customer. Thank God I tried again to call their local store number because when I called to complain about why I didn’t receive a phone call the employee at the local store La Mesa said that my order was sent to the Santee location and that it was there for pick up… ! After all of this me tracking down my prescription 11 days later never receiving a phone call and now my order has been sent to the wrong location!??? .... why on earth would I go to the Santee store to pick up this prescription when I submitted it to their specific location at La Mesa and spoke to someone in their store when placing the order ??!!!!!! she could not give me an answer and she said that someone tried to call me on 16 July… I explained to her that I have zero missed phone calls from anyone on the 16th let alone a voicemail left on or anywhere around that date about my prescription being ready ...All she had to offer it was that “ that’s what she was looking at in her computer system and that’s what it says” .... I will never ever ever again go to the stupid place! Their staff is rude , they don’t have an explanation for anything, they’re unprofessional… I mean I’m sorry but I can’t see how anyone is that busy when they have a call center already answering their calls for you .... and if you legit have proof that you called me on the 16th and left a voicemail which I can’t see how when there’s nothing on my phone showing that you have ..... WHY? Haven’t you followed up with a customer within those 11 days of this prescription just sitting there! you can’t make a phone call or even follow up with someone after 11 days of supposedly my prescription just sitting there??!!! Unacceptable, unprofessional, lazy and unorganized! It’s not that hard To do your freaking job!
I needed a new pair of contact lenses and they were able to help me out very quickly without an eye appointment. Hillary had very great customer service and made the whole process very easy!
I did some price comparisons before I decided to make an appointment with Stanton for contacts. Since I have astigmatism most places up-charge for that but when I was on the phone with one of their rep he assured me it was $89 regardless of my astigmatism or not so I was pretty ecstatic about that. Made my appointment for the next day. When I came in, Hillary was the first to greet me even though she was helping another customer, which I would've understood if she hadn't since she was already helping someone out. She got me checked in very quickly after and was very pleasant. John was also very helpful and extremely nice as well. He told me just the right information I needed so I didn’t have a lot of questions after and kept me informed of my prescription through out the entire process. After the eye exam, because their prices were pretty awesome I decided to grab a six month supply of contacts for 130, and a pair of glasses for around 15, since Hillary gave me an option of purchasing a pair of glasses with a promotion price with ordering the contacts as well. I went home with a pair of contacts on the spot since they had my prescription, and only spent 370. Which seems like a lot for even myself because this is my first time purchasing eye glasses and contacts for myself, but I got a pretty good deal compared to how much I would’ve spent with with my previous optometrist that my dad goes to (with much better customer service as well) and other optical stores. Plus my appointment was at 10, and I was out in 45-50 minutes, which I spent about 15-20 of that looking at frames for myself. Over all my first experience here was awesome. I did read the reviews from previous years before I even decided to come here when there were a lot of complaints but my experience has been nothing but very professional and pleasantly easy. I’m definitely coming back here from now on for any problems and optical needs I might have.
